A week after 17-year-old Trinity Bostic went missing in Tennessee, another teenager has been accused of her murder. The Hendersonville Police Department announced in a press release that a 17-year-old male has been charged with first-degree murder in connection with Trinity’s death. The identity of the male suspect has not been released by the police.
Trinity was first reported missing on June 29 in Macon County. According to the Macon County Sheriff’s Office, deputies began gathering information immediately and traced her location to an area outside the county. Despite their efforts, attempts to contact her were unsuccessful.
The search took a tragic turn on July 3, four days after she was reported missing when Trinity’s remains were discovered along a roadway in Hendersonville. The grim discovery was made by a worker who was picking up trash in the area. Hendersonville police have not yet determined Trinity’s cause of death.
The 17-year-old suspect is from Westmoreland, Tennessee, and is currently being held in Sumner County, according to the police. The case has sent shockwaves through the local community, with many expressing their sorrow and disbelief over the tragic events.
In the wake of her death, Trinity’s high school graduating class has rallied to support her family. They started a GoFundMe campaign to help cover expenses, and so far, it has raised over $8,000. The outpouring of support reflects the deep impact Trinity’s death has had on those who knew her.
As the investigation continues, authorities are working diligently to piece together the events leading up to Trinity’s disappearance and death. The community remains hopeful for justice and answers while mourning the loss of a young life taken too soon.
