However, Quinn suggests that the transition has not been entirely smooth for Harry. In an interview with The Mirror, Quinn explained, “Harry is increasingly bored and looking back across the Atlantic where most of his army and school friends still live and whom he never sees because they won’t visit him in the States because they find Meghan difficult.”
The move has, according to Quinn, come at a significant personal cost to Harry, who has had to “sacrifice” his close friendships in the UK. The royal expert paints a picture of a Duke who, despite the allure of life in California, is grappling with a sense of isolation and a lack of purpose. “After he’s taken the dog for a walk and maybe gone for a drive, he has nothing to do other than support Meghan,” Quinn said.
On the other hand, Meghan Markle appears to be focused on different priorities, with Quinn suggesting that she desires a partner who shares her drive and determination to succeed. “Meghan, on the other hand, needs someone who has serious determination to succeed in the world,” he noted, adding that this disparity between their needs has “led to huge tensions” in their relationship.
The royal couple’s contrasting outlooks on their life together seem to be contributing to a growing strain. While Meghan is reportedly focused on building their brand and establishing their influence in the U.S., Harry’s longing for his old life and his friends back in the UK is becoming more pronounced.
