“A Masterclass in Gaslighting”: Meghan Markle Faces Criticism for Bullying Claims

Royal commentator Kinsey Schofield has accused Meghan Markle of giving the world a “masterclass in gaslighting.” These allegations were made in a candid video on Schofield’s personal YouTube channel, where she expressed concerns over Meghan’s remarks during a recent event with Girls Inc.

According to Larissa May, the founder of #HalfTheStory, who shared details with Vanity Fair, Meghan spoke to young girls at the event about her experience as “one of the most bullied people in the world.” The session reportedly involved girls waving emoji signs to express how different scenarios would affect them emotionally.

Schofield found Meghan’s comments ironic, given that she is currently at the center of multiple bullying investigations, including one led by Buckingham Palace. Schofield remarked, “Many will consider Meghan referring to herself as the most bullied person in the world while being a target of a Buckingham Palace bullying investigation or a Hollywood Reporter investigation, a masterclass in gaslighting.”

She emphasized that by continuing to speak on the issue of bullying, Meghan is inadvertently drawing more attention to the allegations against herself. “By continuing to draw attention to the concept of bullying she is only attracting more attention to her own bullying allegations,” Schofield added before ending her commentary.

These remarks come at a time when Meghan’s husband, Prince Harry, has been making headlines for his solo trips across the US, UK, and South Africa. His activities have raised questions about the current state of the couple’s public image and whether these allegations will continue to affect their standing.

Meghan Markle has been the subject of intense public scrutiny since her departure from royal duties, and her comments at the Girls Inc. event seem to have only added fuel to the fire. Critics like Schofield believe that Meghan’s focus on her own experiences with bullying while being under investigation herself raises serious concerns about her public narrative.

While some supporters see Meghan’s openness as a way to highlight the damaging effects of bullying, critics argue that her comments appear tone-deaf in light of the ongoing accusations against her. The public remains divided, with Meghan’s claims being either a reflection of her vulnerability or, as Schofield put it, a “masterclass in gaslighting.”

This situation continues to unfold as the media closely follows both Meghan’s and Harry’s individual actions, keeping the public conversation about their roles in the royal family and their personal lives alive.
