Lady Gaga is reportedly outraged by the portrayal of her character in Joker: Folie à Deux, the sequel to the acclaimed 2019 film Joker. Following its release, the film has been labeled a flop at the box office, falling short of the expectations set by its predecessor. The Grammy-winning artist is said to be shocked not only by the film’s disappointing performance but also by the editing choices that significantly altered her involvement in the project.

Sources close to Gaga have revealed that many of her scenes were cut from the final version of the film, which has left her feeling both irate and embarrassed. An insider told Life & Style magazine, “She was not only irate, embarrassed, and shocked over how most of her scenes were excised but also furious about how the songs were presented.” The changes reportedly affected the overall tone of the film, leading to awkward transitions between intense scenes and the musical numbers that Gaga was featured in.

According to the insider, “There were all these awkward shifts from violence and dread to upbeat, jazzy songs. It made her look foolish and inept.” The juxtaposition of the film’s dark themes with the upbeat musical elements has drawn criticism, and Gaga feels that these editing choices undermined her artistic contributions.

The experience has prompted Gaga to reassess her career trajectory. While she has garnered acclaim for her acting performances in the past, the fallout from Joker: Folie à Deux has served as a “wake-up call” for her. “It was a wake-up call that she needed. A pretty clear message that she’s a singer and songwriter first — and an actor, second,” the insider claimed. Despite her previous successes in critically acclaimed films, the current situation has led Gaga to recognize that the acting field may not be as fulfilling for her as her music career.

Though Gaga has a track record of successful acting roles, including her Oscar-nominated performance in A Star Is Born, this latest project has cast a shadow over her previous accomplishments. The source noted that the outcome of Joker: Folie à Deux has made the singer look “like an amateur,” a label that stands in stark contrast to her established reputation as a serious artist in both music and film.

As she processes the fallout from the film, it is clear that Lady Gaga is contemplating her next moves. Fans will be watching closely to see how this experience influences her future projects, particularly in the realms of music and film. With her immense talent and dedication, it is likely that Gaga will return to her roots in music, continuing to create and perform songs that resonate with audiences around the world.

In an industry known for its ups and downs, Lady Gaga’s determination to rise above this setback may ultimately serve as an inspiration to others navigating the challenges of fame and artistic expression. As she shifts her focus back to her singing career, fans can expect her to deliver the passionate performances that have made her a household name.
