Katy Perry has found a new sense of empowerment as she embraces life at 40, and she’s not letting anyone’s opinion shake her confidence. Reflecting on her journey during a candid chat with The Sun, the pop sensation revealed how age and experience have taught her to care less about what others think.

“I guess I did step into what I call a ‘zero f**** 40,’” said Katy, who celebrated the milestone last month. Sharing four-year-old daughter Daisy with fiancé Orlando Bloom, she opened up about the personal growth that has transformed her perspective.

In her words, a piece of advice from her therapist helped her reframe her outlook. “‘No one can make you feel something about yourself that you already don’t feel about yourself,’” she recalled being told. Katy explained how this insight became a turning point: “So if someone says something about me that isn’t true, it doesn’t affect me because I know who I am now. I know myself better than ever.”

The Dark Horse hitmaker elaborated on her approach to navigating criticism and negativity. “I care a lot about the things that are worth caring about, but if someone’s not being kind or saying untrue things, then it doesn’t really matter,” she added, radiating self-assurance. As if to underline her thriving confidence, Katy recently thrilled her fans with an exciting announcement: her Lifetimes Tour is heading to the UK in 2025.

In a playful Instagram video, she teased the big news. “Top of the morning to ya babes, I’ve got really big news—I’m bringing the Lifetimes Tour to the UK!” The announcement was met with an outpouring of excitement from fans eager to see the superstar perform live.

Katy’s journey from chart-topping hits to motherhood and self-discovery serves as an inspiration for many. As she balances her career, family, and personal growth, she continues to prove that knowing and embracing yourself is the ultimate superpower. With her newfound “zero f****” attitude and an exciting tour on the horizon, Katy Perry is stepping into this new chapter of her life with grace, humor, and a fearless sense of self.
