Chrissy Teigen, the American model and television personality, has returned home with her family after evacuating amid the ongoing L.A. fires.
Their return coincided with a joyful occasion—the second birthday celebration of her daughter, Esti. Teigen shared glimpses of the celebration on her Instagram in a now-expired story, expressing her relief and gratitude.
“I’m feeling grateful to be back home. This is all I could muster up for Esti’s birthday,” she wrote, as reported by People.
Chrissy and her husband, musician John Legend, are parents to four children: 8-year-old Luna Simone, 6-year-old Miles Theodore, 18-month-old Wren Alexander, and the birthday girl, Esti. The family marked the special day with a cake adorned with two figurines of John Cena—Esti’s favorite wrestler.
The family’s evacuation occurred on January 8, when the fires threatened their neighborhood. Chrissy took to social media to share the anxiety of the moment. “This is surreal I’m very scared now. Packing,” she wrote alongside a photo.
She added a lighthearted touch to the stressful situation, quipping, “4 dogs, 4 kids and a bearded dragon walk into a hotel.”
Fortunately, the family’s home remains unharmed, though the fires have caused significant destruction across California, with several other celebrities tragically losing their homes to the wildfires.
Chrissy’s return and her ability to celebrate Esti’s birthday bring a sense of relief amidst the ongoing devastation. While the fires continue to impact many, the Teigen-Legend family’s story highlights the resilience and gratitude of those who have managed to return home safely.
