Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were all smiles during a fun night out at Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter tour stop in Los Angeles, despite ongoing tensions with the royal family.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were spotted on Friday attending the fifth show of Beyoncé’s tour in California. In videos that quickly went viral on social media, Meghan was seen dancing enthusiastically in the crowd while Harry looked noticeably more reserved. As Daily Mail described it, the prince appeared “a little awkward.”
Both royals dressed for the occasion in Cowboy Carter-inspired outfits. Meghan wore a fitted denim dress and had her hair tied up, perfectly matching the tour’s country-western theme. Prince Harry sported dark jeans, a grey jacket, and a dark green wide-brimmed hat.
Beyoncé, who launched Cowboy Carter following the success of her Renaissance World Tour, even acknowledged the couple’s presence by sharing a photo of them on her website. The LA concert was her final stop in the city before she moves on to Chicago.
While the night was full of music and high energy, it comes during a turbulent time for Prince Harry. Just days earlier, he gave a revealing interview to the BBC, in which he spoke openly about his strained relationship with his family particularly his father, King Charles III.

In the interview, Harry said he “would love” to reconcile with his family, but noted that his father has distanced himself due to their ongoing legal dispute over personal security in the UK. Harry lost a court battle earlier this year challenging the government’s decision to downgrade his security status since stepping down as a senior royal.
The contrast between Harry’s quiet presence at the Beyoncé concert and his candid remarks about royal estrangement highlights the ongoing duality in his public and personal life. Though he’s embraced a new chapter in California with Meghan, his comments reveal a deep yearning for resolution back home.
Despite the royal drama, the couple appeared to enjoy their night out, mingling with fans and taking in the electric atmosphere of Beyoncé’s performance another glimpse into their post-royal life in the spotlight.
