Bindi Irwin has announced she is pressing pause on life in Australia to support her younger brother, Robert Irwin, as he competes on Dancing With the Stars.

The daughter of the late Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin revealed the news in a heartfelt Instagram post, confirming that she and her family have relocated to California for the duration of the competition.

“I have a little life update for you: we are officially moved to Los Angeles,” Bindi wrote. “It’s not forever, but for the next three months. Australia Zoo will always be home, but we are here to support my incredible brother on DWTS.”

Bindi, who famously won Dancing With the Stars herself nearly a decade ago, described the show as “life changing” and said she couldn’t wait to watch Robert follow in her footsteps. “Now my little brother is going to be on the show. I can’t wait to support him and be in the audience,” she shared.

The Irwin family has long been adored by fans for continuing Steve Irwin’s legacy, and Robert’s casting on the popular U.S. competition has drawn significant attention. For Bindi, the chance to be present during such a major moment in her brother’s career was reason enough to temporarily leave her home at Australia Zoo.

Robert, meanwhile, has expressed just how valuable his sister’s guidance has been as he steps into the spotlight. He revealed that Bindi encouraged him to stay focused while also soaking in the unique experience.

“She told me to apply yourself and give it 100 percent, and also sit back and enjoy every second,” Robert told TV Insider. “I want to give it my all but really try and revel in it and enjoy every second because it’s something that is a one-of-a-kind experience, it’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience.”

The supportive sibling bond between the Irwins has struck a chord with fans, who remember Bindi’s own emotional journey on DWTS in 2015, where she honored her father’s memory during several performances.

With Bindi cheering him on from the audience in Los Angeles, Robert is now ready to carve his own path on the dance floor—one that promises to keep the Irwin legacy in the global spotlight.
