Former President Donald Trump’s mental fitness has been a topic of public scrutiny, especially in light of his unpredictable rally speeches and social media outbursts. Recently, a group of medical professionals revealed startling findings about Trump’s psychopathy score, showing it was significantly higher than both the general public and serious offenders. This discovery was shared during a national security meeting attended by about 40 psychiatrists and specialists at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C.

According to reports from Express, the experts assessed Trump’s suitability to lead the country if he were to win the upcoming presidential election. His score on the Psychopathy Checklist-Revised (PCL-R), a standard test used to measure psychopathic traits, was a shocking 35 out of 40, which translates to about 90%. The average score for the general public is only five, while prisoners in maximum-security prisons often score around 22. The PCL-R is a 20-item test designed to evaluate psychopathic characteristics.

A score of 30 or above typically qualifies for a formal diagnosis of psychopathy, and Trump’s score of 35 far exceeds this threshold. Dr. Bandy Lee and other mental health experts, in their 2017 book The Dangerous Case of Donald Trump, argued that Trump possesses traits that make him unsuitable and potentially dangerous for the presidency. Lee warned, “When [a psychopathic] leader faces accountability, he is likely to become even more vengeful and dangerous. All these traits are exacerbated when they accompany rapid decline, as Donald Trump may be demonstrating openly and publicly.”

Dr. Lee further claimed that Trump’s threats must be taken seriously, stating, “Mr. Trump’s threats should therefore be taken seriously, and his potential to cause catastrophic harm must be fully considered, given his potentially unique position of power.” She highlighted concerns over Trump’s impulsivity, his loose grip on reality, and his low tolerance for criticism, suggesting these traits could pose risks, especially in high-stakes decision-making, like military orders. pic.twitter.com/BJoi1N6ABr

As the debate over Trump’s cognitive abilities continues, Democratic nominee Kamala Harris has called on Trump to release his medical records, offering to release her own in return. More than 230 medical professionals, including doctors and healthcare workers, are also urging Trump to be transparent, citing worrying signs of cognitive decline that could disqualify him from the presidency, according to a CBS News report. pic.twitter.com/LhRtmxRbTI
