Prince Harry is enjoying a major boost as his memoir Spare continues to hold a spot among the top 10 on Amazon’s most-read non-fiction list, currently sitting at number nine. The positive news comes amid explosive new allegations against the Duke of Sussex, which he has swiftly denied.
Released in January 2023, Spare was a bombshell tell-all that gave readers an intimate look into Harry’s life within the royal family. The memoir included his candid accounts of a strained relationship with King Charles III, whom he portrayed as a distant father, and his tensions with Prince William, describing his brother as a “hot head” who struggled to accept Harry’s marriage to Meghan Markle.
Now, the Duke faces shocking claims in Andrew Lownie’s new book, The Rise and Fall of the House of York. Lownie alleges that Harry had a physical altercation with his uncle, Prince Andrew, in 2013, and that Andrew predicted Harry’s marriage to Meghan “wouldn’t last more than a month.”

Harry’s representatives have forcefully denied the allegations and are taking legal action. “I can confirm Prince Harry and Prince Andrew have never had a physical fight, nor did Prince Andrew ever make the comments he is alleged to have made about the Duchess of Sussex to Prince Harry,” his spokesperson told Newsweek.
The statement also emphasized that the claims are defamatory: “Such are the gross inaccuracies, damaging and defamatory remarks made in the Daily Mail’s story, I can confirm a legal letter from Prince Harry’s counsel has been sent to the Mail.”
The timing of the allegations coincides with Harry’s continued literary success, as Spare maintains its place on the bestseller and most-read charts more than a year after its release. The memoir resonated globally for its candid storytelling and unprecedented insight into the modern royal family, cementing Harry as a powerful voice outside the monarchy.

While the Duke of Sussex navigates legal battles over the latest claims, his memoir’s lasting popularity underscores the public’s continued fascination with his side of the royal story.
