Prince Harry’s ongoing behavior has reportedly deepened the rift between him and the Royal Family, with experts warning that his presence now poses a risk to the monarchy’s stability.
Speaking to OK! Magazine, royal commentator Kinsey Schofield claimed the Duke of Sussex is becoming increasingly unwelcome within royal circles due to his perceived tendency to generate controversy.
“It’s clear the [royal] family values its privacy and is focused on resting and healing in peace,” Schofield said. “Meanwhile, Prince Harry continues to stir up drama and instigate conflict. There’s a fear that if he were entrusted with sensitive health information, it could be leaked.”
Her remarks come amid reports that Harry is attempting to extend an olive branch to the Royal Family by inviting them to the 2027 Invictus Games, set to take place in Birmingham from July 12 to July 17. However, insiders suggest the gesture is unlikely to mend the damaged relationships.
According to The Mail on Sunday, Harry is preparing to send an email invitation to senior members of the Royal Family later this month, followed by a formal invite. Royal sources interpret this move as a clear signal that Harry is eager to reconcile with King Charles and other senior royals. But many remain skeptical about the sincerity or effectiveness of his outreach.
“Prince Harry’s olive branch is unlikely to be warmly received by the Palace,” an insider told the publication, referencing what they called a long list of “family betrayals.”
Schofield echoed those sentiments, adding that the Royal Family’s reluctance to re-engage is not rooted in pettiness, but in self-preservation. “For the royals, keeping their distance from Harry isn’t about pettiness – it’s about protecting their mental health and preserving their peace,” she explained.
Despite Harry’s apparent efforts to mend fences, many within the Palace remain wary of his actions and his public persona, especially following past media interviews and tell-all projects.
As the countdown to the 2027 Invictus Games begins, the question of whether the Royal Family will accept his invitation or continue to keep him at arm’s length remains uncertain.
