Kanye West, known for stirring controversy, has once again made headlines after abruptly walking out of an interview with British broadcaster Piers Morgan just minutes after it began.
The interview was part of Piers Morgan Uncensored, a YouTube show where Morgan aimed to confront Ye about his recent inflammatory behavior. Morgan said he intended to ask the rapper about his public descent into what he described as being a “vile, Hitler-loving, Nazi-slathering, anti-Semitic p-k.”
However, the conversation quickly unraveled. Morgan shared a still from the short-lived interview on Instagram, revealing it had gone south fast. “It didn’t last long or go well,” he wrote, even labeling Kanye “a big baby.”
Tension surfaced early on when Morgan introduced him as “Kanye West,” prompting an immediate reaction from the Yeezy founder. Interrupting, Ye said, “I don’t use the term West, you know, the whole drop the slave name idea?”
The 60-year-old broadcaster tried to move past it, responding respectfully, “Ok, so we just call you Ye, yeah?”
But the exchange continued to deteriorate. When Morgan brought up Ye’s crumbling public image, the rapper became visibly irritated and repeatedly interrupted the journalist mid-sentence.
The breaking point came over a seemingly small but telling moment. Morgan mistakenly said Kanye had 32 million followers on X (formerly Twitter), when the actual figure was 33 million. The error prompted Ye to walk out of the conversation entirely.
Also present during the interview was internet personality Sneako, who accompanied Ye and appeared unfazed by the meltdown. Defending his friend, Sneako dismissed Morgan’s questions and even referred to the situation as “funny” and “entertaining.”
Morgan, a former editor of The Sun, appeared both frustrated and disgusted by the outcome. Despite his efforts to engage the Grammy-winning artist in a serious discussion, the interview never reached full momentum, ending almost as soon as it began.
While no stranger to walking away from interviews or igniting controversy, Ye’s brief and fiery appearance on Piers Morgan Uncensored has added another chapter to his long list of headline-making moments—this time, under the cloud of yet another fallout with the media.
