Kate Middleton is feeling really overwhelmed, so much so that she is recalibrating her entire life

Kate Middleton is reportedly undergoing a significant shift in how she approaches her role within the royal family, as she works to strike a healthier balance between her public duties and personal well-being. This decision comes after what sources describe as a “wake-up call” earlier this week.

A former royal staffer shared insights with TheTimes, revealing that the Princess of Wales is focused on a complete reassessment of her work-life balance. “Kate is recalibrating her entire life, her entire work-life balance. Wednesday was a wake-up call, not a one-off,” the insider revealed.

According to the source, Kate has long struggled with the pressures of public appearances and the intense scrutiny that comes with being in the spotlight. “She has never found the public appearances, and the forensic attention and criticism that goes with them, at all easy to deal with, and it was just too much this week,” they explained.

The past few years have been emotionally taxing for the princess. “The last few years have been horrific,” the insider added, referencing “the disgusting things that Harry said about her and William and her family, the relentless speculation about her and William.

The Queen’s death, the King’s diagnosis which had them both thinking they were going to have to take over, and then her own cancer diagnosis and treatment.”

All of these events have reportedly taken a significant toll on Kate. In light of this, her husband, Prince William, is said to be fully supportive of her taking as much time as she needs to recover. “William will fight tooth and nail to see she is given it,” the source affirmed.

Another insider also weighed in, emphasizing that the princess may reduce her public presence in the coming months. “It was too much, unfortunately, for her to have three appearances in under a week, and the lesson has been learned,” they noted. “Kate will take it much easier for the rest of the year.

I’d be surprised if you see her more than three times in the next three months.” As the Princess of Wales continues to recover, royal watchers can expect a quieter public schedule, allowing her to focus on health, healing, and recalibrating her role within the Firm.
