Katy Perry is reportedly facing renewed legal scrutiny over her $15 million Santa Barbara mansion, as court documents suggest she will be questioned about rumors involving Chris Pratt and his wife, Katherine Schwarzenegger.
According to Us Weekly, the 40-year-old pop star is set to be grilled regarding a June report alleging the A-list couple temporarily resided in her sprawling California estate. The property an 8-bedroom, 9-bathroom, 9,285-square-foot home nestled in the Santa Barbara hills has long been at the center of a heated legal dispute.
The conflict began in 2020, when Perry purchased the mansion through her business manager, Bernie Gudvi, from 85-year-old businessman Carl Westcott. Days after signing the agreement, Westcott attempted to rescind the sale, claiming he was under the influence of pain medication following back surgery and not mentally competent to enter into a contract.
Despite his efforts, the case went to trial in November 2023, where a judge ultimately ruled in favor of the “Firework” singer, confirming her as the rightful owner.
However, Westcott’s legal team has continued to press the case, now bringing in the latest rental rumors as part of their challenge. They are expected to ask Perry about the report linking the property to Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger, potentially adding new twists to the high-profile battle.

The original lawsuit targeted Gudvi, alleging he refused to cancel the sale despite Westcott’s pleas. But with Perry now being directly questioned in court, the legal saga has escalated, drawing even more public attention.
“Star power” may now define the next phase of the case, as the speculation about who may have lived in the home intersects with the ongoing fight over the property’s sale.
The case underscores the long-running tension between celebrity real estate transactions and claims of undue influence, and Perry’s questioning could determine how the next chapter unfolds.
