Kim Kardashian is once again drawing criticism for flaunting her wealth on social media, with insiders warning the reality star that her flashy posts could make her a target for another robbery.
In a recent post, the American Horror Story star posed in front of an expansive closet filled with high-end designer dresses and shoes. Behind her, double doors appeared to lead to even more luxurious belongings—giving fans (and potentially criminals) a glimpse into her lavish lifestyle.
Now, sources close to the situation are raising concerns that Kim may be repeating past mistakes by revealing too much online. “Her social media posts were said to have helped the gang in France that targeted her, and it seems like she’s risking that happening again by showing off this much – especially when potential thieves can get a perfect view of how they could smash their way in and of all the loot they could snatch,” an insider told Radar Online.
The warning comes nearly a decade after Kim was famously robbed at gunpoint in her Paris hotel room in 2016. During the terrifying incident, masked men tied her up and stole over $10 million worth of jewelry. French authorities later revealed that her social media activity played a major role in guiding the criminals to her location and possessions.
Since then, Kim has significantly upgraded her personal security. “Kim invested in more guards after Kanye went off the rails with his insane Nazi tirades,” the insider shared, referencing the added threats that followed her high-profile divorce from rapper Kanye West.
However, sources caution that even increased security may not be enough if Kim continues to post detailed glimpses into her home and lifestyle. “She still needs to be wary – especially when she’s showing her whereabouts and certain locations in the background that will be picked up on and scrutinized by creeps and would-be stalkers,” the source added.
Though Kim’s posts continue to attract millions of likes and comments, some observers argue that the cost of her online presence could outweigh the benefits—especially if it puts her safety, and that of her family, at risk once again.
