King Charles has severed ties with his ‘rebellious’ son, Prince Harry, perceiving him as a threat to the throne, according to Meghan Markle’s ‘mouth-piece,’ royal author and journalist Omid Scobie.
In his new book, Scobie offers an inside look into the Sussexes’ controversial exit from the royal family in 2020 and their subsequent move to the United States. Scobie, known for his close association with Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, claims in “Endgame” that Harry’s desire for personal freedom led the monarchy, including Prince William, to see him as a danger to the crown.
“These are probably sad realizations that will be had far too late in the journey. In the eyes of some within the institution, Harry is a threat to the crown,” Scobie writes in his book. He further explains, “His freedom to exert his own thinking outside of the confines of the institution has made him the enemy.”
Scobie’s revelations provide a fresh perspective on the strained relationship between Prince Harry and the royal family. His book delves into the reasons behind the drastic decision to let Harry go, emphasizing the perceived threat his independence posed to the monarchy’s stability, reported Daily Express.
The Sussexes’ departure from royal duties has been a topic of intense public and media scrutiny. Scobie’s insights suggest that the decision was not just about Harry and Meghan seeking a different path, but also about the royal family protecting its traditional structure and influence.
By branding Harry as a threat, Scobie highlights the deep-seated concerns within the royal institution about maintaining control and unity. The author’s close ties to Meghan lend weight to his claims, suggesting an intimate understanding of the internal dynamics that led to Harry’s departure.
The book also hints at the emotional toll this separation has taken on both sides, with realizations and regrets likely to emerge as time goes on. However, Scobie points out that these reflections may come too late to mend the fractured relationships.
“Endgame” paints a picture of a royal family grappling with the challenges of modernity and individualism. Harry’s break from the institution is portrayed as a bold move towards personal freedom but also as a catalyst for significant tension and change within the monarchy.
As the public continues to watch the unfolding saga of the Sussexes and the royal family, Scobie’s book adds a layer of understanding to the complex dynamics at play. The revelations underscore the delicate balance the monarchy must strike between tradition and adaptation in an ever-evolving world.
