Kylie Kelce recently addressed and slammed pregnancy rumors circulating about her in a candid video on her social media. On Friday, July 19, the wife of former Philadelphia Eagles player Jason Kelce took to her official TikTok account to clear the air.
“I have had a number of articles written about me since the middle of last football season stating that I am pregnant,” Kylie stated. She then added emphatically, “I am not.”
The mom of three highlighted the sensitivity of the topic for her, sharing a deeply personal experience. “I had a miscarriage before Wyatt,” Kylie said. She continued, “I went in for my 13-week ultrasound, there was no heartbeat, and I had to have a D and E [Dilation and Evacuation]. So, I do not take getting pregnant or trying to get pregnant lightly”, told Daily Mail.
***Trigger warning: pregnancy loss. I have been congratulated in person multiple times. I have been questioned by strangers. Most aggressively, I was DM’d by a random woman asking “Did you have a miscarriage?” because one of the news outlets that said I was pregnant doubled back and claimed I hadn’t announced it because I had had a miscarriage. Let’s do better.
Kylie urged people to stop spreading false news, emphasizing the emotional impact such rumors can have. “I think we need to just be in agreement that this is not a topic that anyone needs to be first on reporting,” she said. “Let the parent say it when they’re good and ready,” she added.
The rumors first emerged following an interview with The New York Times, where Kylie mentioned she was saving her daughter’s old pajamas for a possible addition to her family. However, this comment led to widespread speculation and false reports about her current pregnancy status.
In addressing these rumors, Kylie Kelce not only dispelled the false claims but also highlighted the importance of respecting personal boundaries, especially concerning sensitive topics like pregnancy. Her openness about her miscarriage and her firm stance against premature speculation serves as a reminder of the need for empathy and caution when discussing such personal matters.
