MAGA Lawyer Issues Legal Threats, Declares ‘Juan Merchan Can Also Go to Hell’ in Trump Cases

MAGA-aligned lawyer Mike Davis escalated his attacks on officials involved in legal actions against President-elect Donald Trump, targeting Judge Juan Merchan during an interview Monday on the right-wing Benny Johnson Show.

Davis accused Merchan, who presided over Trump’s fraud trial resulting in 34 felony convictions, of committing federal civil rights violations and warned the judge to prepare for legal consequences.

“I would say this to Juan Merchan: you better also lawyer up because you are also – what you’re doing is also a very serious federal civil rights felony again 18 USC §241,” Davis declared. He added, “Juan Merchan can also go to hell – lawyer up buddy.”

The fiery remarks followed Davis’s broader call for civil lawsuits against prosecutors who pursued charges against individuals involved in the January 6 Capitol riot. He argued that Trump’s future Justice Department should not defend these prosecutors, nor should federal funds cover their legal expenses.

“They should let these prosecutors get sued in their individual capacities and have to hire their own private lawyers to defend themselves,” Davis said, emphasizing the financial and personal consequences of such actions. Host Benny Johnson echoed the sentiment, stating these lawsuits could lead to the “destruction” of those involved. Davis responded, “God willing.

They should face severe, and I mean the most severe legal, political, and financial consequences for what they’ve done.” Davis specified that accountability efforts would begin “Jan. 20 at noon,” coinciding with Trump’s scheduled inauguration as president.

Regarding Judge Merchan, Davis accused him of overstepping his legal authority, specifically criticizing a gag order issued during Trump’s hush-money trial. The order barred Trump from attacking witnesses or disclosing information about jurors, court staff, or their families. Davis described the gag order as “illegal” and “unconstitutional,” claiming it constituted grounds for a federal probe.

“There are so many reversible errors in this bogus New York case,” Davis asserted, escalating his rhetoric with an attack on the judge’s daughter. He framed the trials as politically motivated distractions aimed at undermining Trump’s presidency.

“Donald Trump is supposed to be distracted from being the president-elect… so he can go to this third-world, Marxist, hell-hole courtroom – even via Skype or video – to let Juan Merchan scold him?” Davis asked rhetorically.

Davis’s inflammatory comments highlight the heightened tensions surrounding Trump’s legal challenges and the political divisions they continue to stoke.
