The Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, has reportedly left her sister-in-law, Meghan Markle, feeling “pretty hopeless” about the future, following the public’s overwhelming support for Kate. According to Closer magazine, sources claim that Meghan envies how effortlessly Kate connects with the public, particularly in light of a recent video Kate released.

The insiders noted that Meghan has struggled with the way she is perceived, especially when compared to Kate. This feeling intensified after the public warmly embraced Kate’s video, in which she shared the news that she had completed chemotherapy.

“Any time Meghan tries to open up and share her truth, the way Kate did in her video, she seems to get slammed for it,” a source revealed. “Seeing the way Kate’s video has been received by the public and the press has highlighted how differently they are viewed, and there’s no getting around the fact that Meghan has been put in one category and Kate in another.”

The source went on to describe how this episode has left Meghan feeling like she’s “backed into a corner” with no path to achieving the same rapport with the public that Kate enjoys. “It feels very unfair and like there’s simply no way out,” the source added, highlighting Meghan’s frustration with the stark contrast in public perception between herself and Kate.

While Meghan is reportedly “genuinely happy” that Kate is recovering, the situation has nevertheless stirred up painful memories for her. The source noted, “She’s feeling pretty hopeless about the future, and this episode has triggered a lot of painful memories.”

Meghan has faced intense scrutiny and criticism in the media, often in sharp contrast to the more favorable coverage of Kate. The difference in how the two women are perceived by the public and press continues to weigh heavily on Meghan, who has found it difficult to change the narrative around her.

As the rift between the two royal women remains under public observation, the stark difference in their public image only seems to widen, leaving Meghan grappling with feelings of frustration and hopelessness.
