Penny Lancaster Is 'Giving Meghan's As Ever Brand a Run for Its Money' With Homemade Honey Venture

Penny Lancaster may be on the verge of launching a lifestyle empire to rival Meghan Markle’s, as reports suggest the former model and TV personality is testing the waters with her own brand of homemade honey.

At 54, Lancaster, who is married to music legend Sir Rod Stewart, revealed she began making the product for personal use but has recently started sharing it with friends. “Giving Meghan’s As Ever brand a run for its money,” wrote the Mail on Sunday, comparing Penny’s growing passion project to the Duchess of Sussex’s recently launched lifestyle label.

The Loose Women star spoke about her honey at the Chelsea Flower Show, saying it started as a family hobby. According to Glasgow Live, Penny’s journey began with just a few beehives at her countryside estate—a modest beginning with potential to grow into a full-fledged brand.

Meanwhile, Meghan Markle’s As Ever brand has officially entered the food and lifestyle space with a selection of artisanal products. Among them is a $28 Limited-Edition Wildflower Honey with Honeycomb, which the website describes as being “inspired by Meghan’s own appreciation” of the “art of harvesting” at her Montecito home.

Beyond honey, Meghan also sells items like Herbal Lemon Ginger Tea and a Shortbread Cookie Mix with Flower Sprinklers, positioning her brand as a curated blend of wellness and indulgence. But with Penny’s natural, homegrown approach, the Duchess may soon face some unexpected competition.

While Lancaster hasn’t officially commercialized her honey, the growing buzz around it has sparked interest. If she chooses to develop the brand further, she could very well find herself in direct competition with As Ever in the luxury food market.

Outside of her budding business, Penny recently shared a heartfelt tribute to her husband of 18 years. Posting to Instagram, she celebrated Sir Rod Stewart’s recent milestone: receiving the American Music Awards’ Lifetime Achievement Award.

“So proud of my man – lifetime achievement award @amas,” she wrote, alongside a photo of the 80-year-old singer in a sharp black suit and white shirt.

Rod accepted the award in surprise, saying, “I’m absolutely flabbergasted. I didn’t know they were here – my children.” He then thanked fellow musicians and reflected on his early dreams: “That’s all I wanted to do. I didn’t want to be rich or famous. And here I am, a few years later, picking up this wonderful award.”

With over 120 million records sold worldwide, the rock icon remains a powerful presence—much like his wife, who may soon step into the spotlight herself.
