Concerns are mounting about the state of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s marriage, as fans and experts alike are beginning to question the couple’s bond after six years together.
Royal commentator Nathan Kay weighed in on the matter in a piece for Express UK, highlighting the apparent growing divide between the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Kay expressed his doubts about the future of their relationship, pointing to Harry’s increasing independence and distance from his family.
In the piece, Kay noted that “Harry’s independent itinerary has become a pattern over the last several weeks, leaving Meghan at home in Montecito, California, with their children, Archie and Lilibet.” He added that “this continued distance between them is prompting speculation that the couple, married for six years, may indeed be drifting apart.”
Friends of the Sussexes have reportedly expressed concern about how much time the couple is spending apart. According to Kay, it’s hard not to wonder if these concerns are well-founded, given the public’s observations of Harry’s and Meghan’s separate paths.
A particularly telling moment was Prince Harry’s recent 40th birthday, which he chose to spend with friends in the Montecito mountains, away from Meghan and their children. This decision has added fuel to the speculation surrounding the state of their relationship.
While Kay acknowledges that “perhaps it’s simply a need for space, an urge to rediscover himself away from the constant scrutiny and high expectations,” he admits that “there’s no denying that the timing of these solo escapades raises eyebrows.”
With Meghan continuing to focus on her own projects and public appearances while Harry embarks on solo ventures, many are left wondering if the couple is navigating diverging paths, sparking even more concern about the future of their marriage.
