MAGA television host David Brody admitted to feeling “very creepy” after attempting to mock Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) by mimicking her head movements during a segment on Real America’s Voice.
The moment unfolded on Tuesday as Brody joined co-host Beau Davidson in discussing Rep. Crockett’s recent comments about investigating former President Donald Trump and his family—should Democrats regain control of the U.S. House of Representatives.
“So my question to you is, if Jasmine Crockett is right, if they take over the House, is that what we have to look forward to, more ridiculous investigations and maybe even another impeachment?” Davidson asked.
“Yeah, absolutely,” Brody responded. “Her and AOC, really? These are the poster women representatives for the Democrat [sic] Party. Hey, good luck with that. I’ll buy you a tuna fish sandwich if you can pull it off.”
Brody then pivoted to commenting on Crockett’s demeanor during a recent appearance, told Raw Story.
“By the way, did you notice her in that sound bite?” he asked. “The dance. She was like, come on. Come on. I’m ready.”
At that point, Brody physically imitated Crockett’s head movements in an exaggerated manner, a moment that even he admitted felt wrong.
“Just first of all, the fact that I just did it makes me feel very creepy about myself and weird, but the fact that she did it, oh my gosh,” he said.
The attempt at humor quickly drew criticism online, with some viewers accusing Brody of reducing a serious political conversation to a mocking impersonation laced with condescension. Others pointed out that his comment seemed to acknowledge the discomfort of his own actions—yet didn’t stop him from making them.
Rep. Jasmine Crockett, a rising Democratic figure known for her sharp responses and confident media presence, has not publicly responded to the segment. However, she has previously brushed off similar attempts to belittle her with a mix of humor and defiance.
As political discourse continues to be shaped by media personalities and partisan pundits, Brody’s on-air admission—”I feel very creepy about myself”—may become another viral example of how performative commentary can sometimes backfire, even for its creators.
