The family of Virginia Giuffre, one of Jeffrey Epstein’s most prominent victims, has issued a scathing statement condemning Donald Trump and demanding that Ghislaine Maxwell remain behind bars, amid speculation the former president might consider granting her clemency.
In an emotional message, Giuffre’s siblings Dad Sky, Amanda Roberts, Danny, and Lanette Wilson blasted Trump for recently claiming that Epstein “stole” Giuffre from his Mar-a-Lago resort when she was just 16.
“It was shocking to hear President Trump invoke our sister and say that he was aware that Virginia had been ‘stolen’ from Mar-a-Lago,” the family wrote. “It makes us ask if he was aware of Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell’s criminal actions.”
Trump’s comments came during an impromptu press conference aboard Air Force One, where he recounted warning Epstein not to recruit Mar-a-Lago staff, including Giuffre, who worked at the spa in 2000. Trump said he eventually banned Epstein from the club in 2004, but Giuffre’s family noted that Maxwell preyed on her “during her time working for Trump” years before their fallout.
The family’s statement comes as reports swirl that Maxwell, who is serving a 20-year sentence for sex trafficking, is seeking immunity or clemency in exchange for testifying before Congress.
“Ghislaine Maxwell is a monster who deserves to rot in prison for the rest of her life,” the Giuffre family said.
“She destroyed the lives of girls and young women without conscience. Any deal for her release would be a travesty of justice.”

The family also accused Maxwell of being “vicious and often more cruel than Epstein,” adding that Giuffre endured “death threats, threats against her children, financial ruin, and destruction of her physical and mental well-being.”
Maxwell allegedly participated in recruiting underage girls, including Giuffre, into Epstein’s trafficking ring. Giuffre later accused Prince Andrew of abusing her at Epstein’s request, allegations the Duke of York has vehemently denied.
Despite the mounting backlash, Trump has said he has “not thought” about pardoning Maxwell. Meanwhile, pressure is building on federal authorities to release long-sought documents allegedly linking Epstein to high-profile figures, though the Justice Department maintains that no definitive “client list” exists.
The Giuffre family vowed to continue fighting for accountability:
“She must remain in prison anything less would be one of the greatest travesties of justice in history.”
