Rumors surrounding a potential divorce between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have stirred intense speculation, with some comparing it to an event as dramatic as “the fall of Rome.” This bold claim comes from Clemmie Moodie, Assistant Editor of The Sun, who shared her insights in a recent piece for the publication.

In her article, Moodie notes that rumors of a rift between the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been circulating, fueled by whispers from their circle. “Friends of friends from the UK claim that earlier this year the pair stayed at their California mansion, in Montecito,” she wrote. However, what caught the attention of many was the observation that “Meghan was barely seen,” leading to speculation that she might not have been at home during that time.

Moodie went on to suggest that Meghan’s absence raised questions about the state of their relationship. “Of course, she, too, may have been with friends — or hiding away in a wing, desperately not associating with friends of friends of mine,” Moodie added, highlighting the uncertainty surrounding the situation. She continued, “Who knows what is really going on? Probably only Meghan and Harry. And, really, why should they brief the rest of us on how strained or otherwise the atmosphere is over the breakfast island?”

Moodie acknowledged that the couple’s private life remains a mystery to the public. Nevertheless, she remarked that some of their actions might fuel the rumors further. “Whatever the truth, Harry and Meghan don’t always help themselves — with members of staff quitting or being culled at a rate of knots, it is a tableau that doesn’t exactly scream loyalty, contentment and domestic bliss.” told by The New Yorker.

Moodie also speculated on the possible consequences if the couple were ever to split. “Should Harry and Meghan ever truly separate — and let’s hope they never do — the split would be like the fall of Rome. Slow at first then all at once.” She concluded her thoughts with a personal note, quoting her mother: “To conclude — as my wise mother once said: ‘I give it seven years.’”

While there has been no official confirmation or public statement from Prince Harry or Meghan Markle regarding the rumors, the swirling speculation continues to captivate royal watchers, raising questions about the future of their high-profile marriage.
