Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, has reportedly come out of her cancer battle with a stronger bond with her husband, Prince William, according to royal expert Jennie Bond. After completing chemotherapy, Kate is said to be focusing on her recovery, her family, and gradually returning to her royal duties.
Speaking to OK! Magazine, Bond shared insights into Kate’s current priorities. “Her focus is on her husband, her children, and getting strong enough for a very gradual return to work,” she explained. The royal expert highlighted how this challenging period has only strengthened Kate and William’s marriage. “I think her illness has made her marriage to William stronger than ever, and that was evident from the video,” she added, referencing a recent public appearance by the couple.
Kate’s role as peacemaker in the ongoing rift between Prince William and his brother, Prince Harry, was also discussed. According to Jennie Bond, while Kate has made efforts to bridge the gap, her primary loyalty remains with William. “You can try playing peacemaker for just so long, and it looks as though she did make some attempt to bridge the gap,” Bond noted.
“But, in the end, your loyalty and your heart belong to your husband, and I don’t think Catherine will exert any pressure on William to hold out an olive branch to Harry unless he decides that’s what he wants,” she continued. Reuters reported that Bond emphasized that reconciliation between the brothers would seem unlikely in the near future. “And that looks wholly unlikely for the foreseeable future,” she added.
These comments come at a time when rumors surrounding Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s marriage have resurfaced, with claims that the couple has grown apart and is now “living separate lives.”
