“No More NBA Players”: Khloé Kardashian Declares She’s Done Dating Athletes, Seeks Love Beyond the Spotlight

Khloé Kardashian has surprised fans with a bold declaration on Alex Cooper’s Call Her Daddy podcast: she’s officially retiring from dating professional athletes, particularly NBA players.

After high-profile, tumultuous relationships with Lamar Odom and Tristan Thompson, Kardashian is shifting her focus toward emotional stability and genuine connection.

In an exclusive interview with Daily Mail, celebrity matchmaker Susan Trombetti weighed in on what kind of partner would suit the Good American founder’s new dating standards.

Trombetti, CEO of Exclusive Matchmaking, emphasized that Kardashian’s ideal match should be “emotionally available, kind to her and her children, family-oriented, and not seeking fame.”

In regards to this, Trombetti said, “She needs someone who will commit to her and fit into her lifestyle, not someone trying to compete with her spotlight. He’s handsome, drama-free, grounded, and private—everything she needs right now.”

Kardashian, a mother of two, has previously dated NBA stars James Harden and Rashad McCants. However, repeated cheating scandals have led her to reevaluate the kind of men she attracts.

Dating experts Nicole Moore and Amber Lee caution against generalizing all athletes but agree that Khloé should prioritize emotional availability and commitment over profession.

Moreover, “Swearing off NBA players won’t help if she doesn’t address the deeper patterns and attachment styles she’s drawn to,” said Lee, CEO of Select Date Society.

Moore added that while athletes do face unique relationship pressures, avoiding them entirely might shut the door on potentially healthy connections, as per the outlet.

Additionally, experts note the challenges Kardashian could face dating outside of celebrity circles.

While dating a non-celebrity might offer a more grounded relationship, there’s always the concern of fame-related motivations.

Still, matchmakers point to stars like Sofia Vergara and Jennifer Garner, who’ve found happiness with partners outside the industry.
