Paris Hilton recently opened up to her fans about the devastating fire that broke out on the set of her “Bad B**** Academy” music video shoot, which destroyed many of her valuables. The 43-year-old star took to Instagram to share the aftermath of the blaze, revealing what items survived the incident in Los Angeles.
In a heartfelt video post, Hilton wrote, “These items are what’s left from the fire that broke out in my trailer on my #BadB****Academy music video shoot.” The video shows her carefully sifting through the remnants of her belongings, now laid out on a pink sheet. “So I’m just looking through everything now that made it through the fire,” she said, her voice tinged with emotion.
The items Hilton showcased in the video ranged from slightly singed to severely damaged. Among them were stickers featuring the name of her album Infinite Icon, gloves, costumes, phones, and, notably, a diary she keeps. The damage varied, but the emotional loss was evident as she narrated the destruction, told Daily Mail.
Particularly heartbreaking for Hilton were the custom-made pieces she had acquired for the shoot. “We have some Chanel pearls which are all burnt, melted … all this new jewelry I just got from Lara Heems,” she explained. The loss of her custom costumes was especially difficult. “These I’m so sad about – custom costumes from Michael Schmidt – so gorgeous, he made these with Swarovski crystal material; all burnt,” she lamented.
Among the items that survived, her journal was a small but meaningful consolation. “It’s burnt but at least it’s here,” she noted, though she added that the majority of her possessions in the trailer were “literally melted and burned to a crisp.”
The fire occurred as Hilton was working on the music video for her track “Bad B**** Academy,” a project that featured appearances by stars like Heidi Klum, Meghan Trainor, and Lance Bass. Despite the significant losses, Hilton’s resilient spirit shines through as she moves forward from this unexpected setback.
