Meghan Markle is being accused of pushing Prince Harry to leave the UK, according to former royal photographer Arthur Edwards. In a recent discussion on The Sun’s Royal Exclusive Live show, Edwards reflected on how the Duchess of Sussex quickly decided to leave the UK, taking Prince Harry with her.
Edwards shared his insights with host Matt Wilkinson, recalling how Meghan initially seemed to embrace her royal duties. “The first year with Meghan she was fantastic. I traveled everywhere with them. She was a star, engaging with the public, doing everything you’d expect a lady married into the royal family to do,” he said.
However, things soon changed. Edwards explained that Meghan and Harry made their decision to step back from royal duties quite abruptly. “Then suddenly, everything changed,” he added, hinting at the quick shift in their dynamic.
Wilkinson chimed in, saying, “The problem was that Harry and Meghan were so impetuous they made that decision straight away. They posted on Instagram, didn’t they? It was the very night they decided it before they really discussed it with the Queen. They chucked it out there and said that they kind of made the decision that they were leaving.”
Edwards agreed, emphasizing how firm Meghan was in her decision. “There was no choice, he was going, wasn’t he? Meghan said ‘we are going’ and that was it. And as we say, he made that decision and disappeared. That was his choice,” he noted.
The photographer’s comments reflect growing speculation about Meghan’s influence in Harry’s decision to step away from the royal family. While the couple’s departure from the UK has been a point of discussion for years, Edwards’ insights add another layer of understanding about the dynamics at play during that time.
